Gangster Bonnie Parker’s unpublished poems penned in prison



“No-one must know how I tremble/

When I hear a siren moan/

Just fearing for you darling/

And hoping you’re safe at home.”

(Of course the poems are of interest to us because they were penned in the prison by a woman gangster.)
